What Will You Stamp Week #13 Your Perfect Day

Welcome to another week on What Will You Stamp?

This week we are featuring the stamp set Your Perfect Day. It's a perfect set for the lovebirds or newlyweds in your life. I knew when I saw this set I wanted to use a doily and gold in it. Weddings always remind me of lace and bling.

For my card I used perfect plum cardstock to emboss with the textured impression folder Baroque as the background. After that I just layered everything else on it. There I stamped the circle leaf like image in perfect plum on vellum paper. I used the scalloped punch behind the vellum. I didn't want the scallop to come past the vellum. I just wanted some detail behind it so it wasn't all gold. The circle framelits were used for the vellum and gold glimmer paper. The smaller circle is punched with the 1 3/8 circle punch.

Here is a close up of the card. The gold sequin and bakers twine is placed behind the doily just for some added detail and dimension. I wanted this card to be elegant but "busy" with lots of details at the same time. I feel like that is what weddings are...so many details! Plus love is never plain so why have a plain card to celebrate it?! lol

Well this concludes my card. Thank you so much for joining us on another week of What Will You Stamp? We really do appreciate every taking the time to see our cards. Soon we will have new stamp sets with the new catalog coming out and we are so excited to share it with you! Have a fantastic day!

What Will You Stamp Week 12 - Guy Greetings!!

Hey Everyone!!

I am back this week!! Well today we are showcasing the stamp set Guy Greetings on the What Will You Stamp Challenge Blog!! I love this set. You can cover every man in your life with this set. When I saw we were doing this set for this week I was especially excited because today is my Step-dad's birthday!! So it was perfect timing for me.

I made a birthday card with this set for this week's challenge. But I plan on using it also make father day cards for all the important guys in my life who are dads.

Since this is a card for a man I wanted to keep it simple and clean with not a lot of fuss. But it still had to have some detail. I kept the colors neutrals because. I went with Baked Brown Sugar, Black and Whisper White for the cardstock. I used the Honeycomb Embossing folder to add some detail. I felt it was a MANLY embossing look. Then I just used the Banner framelits to cut out some banners.

Now I didn't want to keep the banner white so instead of stamping it I decided to use washi tape. I always forget about washi tape when it comes to my cards. I love washi tape but mainly use it in my planner. The sentiment's come from the Guy Greetings set. The circle was punched out with the 2" circle punch. The ink pads I used were Jet Black Staz On Ink and Baked Brown Sugar. Oh!! Last but not least....I used our stapler to staple that little banner to the circle. I love that mini stapler!!!

Here is a closer look at the sentiment. I don't know if you can see it but I love the lettering in this set. There is dimension and the letters have details in them. It's clean but still gives them a nice look.

Well that is it for my card this week. I really hope you enjoyed stopping by and I hope you check out all of the other girls What Will You Stamp Challenge Blog and see what ideas they came up. Everyone is so creative and talented.

Happy Crafting everyone and see you next week!!

WWYS WEEK #10! Painted Petals

Hi Crafters! Thank you for stopping by today and hanging out with us on What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog
I am so glad to be back this week and share my card with you. I had to take some time off to tend to family. This week we are featuring the Painted Petals stamp set. I knew when I saw this set I wanted to use the flowers. This stamp set comes with so many stamps. Your options are endless with it.

To get the background lines behind the flowers I used my watercolor pen and crumb cake. I wanted there to be some color behind the flowers when I stamped them. I stamped off to get the lighter pink flowers instead of having to use multiple stamp pads.

I punched out my sentiment with decorative label punch. I love to "mat" my sentiments so to accomplish this I punched out crumb cake with the decorative label punch and then cut it in half with my trimmer. I then offset it a little behind the sentiment and used stampin' dimensionals to get the popped up effect.

Of course none of my cards are never complete without some bling. I love this butterfly stamp and the matching framelits from Stampin' Up. I put some rhinestones on my butterfly to give it some sparkle.
